The Pune Alumni Chapter (PAC) brings together Teach For India Alumni living in and around Pune. It isn't limited to those who did their Fellowship here — Alumni from anywhere in the network are part of PAC once they're in the city.
It's where Alumni find each other, stay connected, and work together across the city.
Bringing Alumni in the region together to build a strong, connected and purpose-driven community — grounded in the needs and strengths of diverse stakeholders, and working to accelerate change for Pune's children and youth.
The two focus areas anchoring PAC-CC's work this year.
The sector we work in can be deeply isolating. Educators, changemakers and social-sector professionals often carry enormous responsibility with limited spaces to pause, reflect and reconnect with others who truly understand the work. This year, PAC-CC is intentionally investing in a stronger web of support around our Alumni — one where every person has what they need to do their best work.
That means creating spaces that go beyond transactional networking — where Alumni exchange ideas, share challenges, celebrate wins and find genuine solidarity. When people in the sector feel held and connected, they lead better, last longer and do more meaningful work. Building this community isn't a side project; it's central to everything PAC-CC does.
Pune, like many cities, is grappling with rising concerns around child safety. From schools and neighbourhoods to online spaces, children face vulnerabilities that demand urgent, collective attention. As Alumni of Teach For India — as educators, mentors and members of this community — we are uniquely positioned to respond.
This year, PAC-CC is mobilising the Alumni community to take concrete action on child safety in Pune: thinking collectively about how we, as individuals and as a network, can make our spaces and our city safer for children. Through awareness, advocacy, community action or direct work, we believe every child in Pune deserves to grow up protected and loved — and that we have a role to play in making that real.
Whoever you are and wherever you are in your journey, PAC is built to be useful in a few concrete ways.
